The latest event to get cancelled is the 2020 McDonald's All-American game, which was supposed to be hosted here in Houston at the Toyota Center on April 1.
The McDonald's All-American game released a statement on Twitter on Thursday afternoon.
After careful consideration, we have decided to cancel the 2020 McDonald's All American Games and all associated events. More details on https://t.co/8739cEQ7IK. pic.twitter.com/9hx8PH522K

The 2020 McDonald's All-American game had two girls and one boy from Texas on the rosters. The lone boy was Vandergrift High School 6-foot-8 shooting forward Greg Brown III. The girls included Deja Kelly from Duncanville, who was named the Class 6A State Championship game MVP a week ago. The other was Hannah Gusters from MacArthur High School in Iriving, Texas.
Gusters is signed to Baylor, Kelly is signed to North Carolina and Brown III was listed as undecided still.

On the coaching front, St. Thomas boys basketball coach Gary Hall and Langham Creek's Charles Ament were selected to be two of the coaches for the team this year.
