A Look Back
After posting a 8-9 overall record last season (6-7 in district play), the Lady Longhorns got serious with reshaping their program and building up their team in preparation of the next season. With big victories over the likes of North Garland, Carrollton R.L. Turner, Dallas Jefferson, Dallas Conrad, and more, W.T. White knew that a strong season could be on the horizon- so they got right to work.
This Season, So Far
After just missing the playoffs last season, the Lady Longhorns entered this season on a mission- to be the best that they can be in every practice and then translate that into their play on the court during games. Opening the season with with great victories over Dallas Roosevelt and North Garland, the team dropped a few preseason games before picking the pieces back up just before district play began.
Through district play, the Lady Longhorns dropped only one game, a close, hard-fought matchup against Dallas Hillcrest. With smart play, the team defeated the likes of Dallas Kimball, Dallas Wilson, Dallas Jefferson, South Oak Cliff, and more for a 15-1 district record (18-6 overall). The team has been able to showcase their talent and put everything they have out there day in and day out.

Led by the likes of Stella Suek, Lisee McGovern, Kaylie Carr, Makayla McKenzie, Joy Young, Darnesha Leonard, and more, fans can certainly expect a lot of the same play as the team heads into playoffs.
