Welcome to the 2020 volleyball season. What a weird offseason it was for everyone. No club tournaments to travel to, limited training available but what that means is everyone should be fresh for the 2020 campaign.
VYPE previewed 30 public school teams in this year's VYPE Houston Volleyball Preview. Here is one of the Dark Horses - the Barbers Hill Eagles.

Barbers Hill Eagles
It will be a new era for Barbers Hill in 2020. Moving over from Goose Creek Memorial is Casey Mulryan-Veen, who spent five seasons leading the Patriots. In her time at GCM, Veen led it to the playoffs every season and reached the second round in 2017. Veen takes over a program that has won back-to-back district titles, made the playoffs for 18-straight years and reached the Regional Quarters back in 2018. So, what pieces does the new coach have? Well, she will have to find a replacement for District 21-5A MVP Trinity Hennigan. Kelsi Wingo will have a chance to do just that. Last year as a sophomore, Wingo had 707 assists, 292 digs, 225 kills and 58 aces. Wingo earned second-team, all-district honors. Other second- teamers returning also include Nadia Karabanoff (148 kills and 210 digs) and Jordan Burnett (374 digs and 135 kills).
