Welcome to the 2020 volleyball season. What a weird offseason it was for everyone. No club tournaments to travel to, limited training available but what that means is everyone should be fresh for the 2020 campaign.
VYPE previewed 30 public school teams in this year's VYPE Houston Volleyball Preview. Here is one of the Contenders - the Cy-Fair Bobcats.

Cy-Fair Bobcats
In a word – scrappy. The Cy-Fair Bobcats reached the Regional Finals a year ago but fell to eventual state semi-finalist Ridge
Point. District Coach of the Year Donna Bennoti isn't blessed with 6-foot hammers, but she does return District MVP Rebekah Portalatin. The hybrid setter/hitter beats teams with her volleyball IQ and can fly in the gym. Portalatin will share the setting duties with honorable-mention selection Julia Chew. The defense will be on-point with Kara Spice (St. Thomas-commit), Courtney Aulbaugh and Annalie Heliste. Spice and Heliste were first-team, all-district selections, while Aulbaugh is committed to UTSA. Cy-Fair will need to hold off Memorial and Cy Creek for the district title, but the Bobcats are looking to emerge as Region III favorites, which is wide open in 2020.
