Klein Collins the queens on the north?
No. 16 — KLEIN COLLINS TIGERS
Klein Colins dominated all of last year, especially among their district counterparts, resulting in a second-straight undefeated (14-0) district championship – and their fourth title in five years. From there, the Tigers defeated Cy Falls (63-49) and Spring (68-29), before falling to perennial power Cy Springs in the UIL-6A Regional Quarterfinals, ending their season 31-4.
Nothing stands to change with Coach of the Year Tatiana Lee back at the helm, and a plethora of stars returning to the court. While Collins does say goodbye to District MVP Christin Callens (St. Mary’s University), sophomore point guard A’Niyah Harmon will ensure that the team doesn’t skip a beat. Harmon was named the 15-6A Offensive Player of the Year for her considerable efforts (15.3 ppg, 4.6 apg, 5 spg) in 2024, and should continue to be a dynamic force.
Joining her on the floor will be second- team, all-district selection Christen Campbell (Sr. PF) and honorable mentions Jeani’ Arthur (Sr. SG), Alana Fontenot (Jr. G) and freshman Hailey Neal.
District gold will always be the standard for Klein Collins. Now, can they turn that into another deep run in the playoffs?
