Welcome to the 2020 volleyball season. What a weird offseason it was for everyone. No club tournaments to travel to, limited training available but what that means is everyone should be fresh for the 2020 campaign.
VYPE previewed 30 public school teams in this year's VYPE Houston Volleyball Preview. Here is one of the Contenders - the Pearland Dawson Eagles.

Pearland Dawson Eagles
It's hard to believe that Pearland Dawson has yet to punch its ticket to the state Final Four after all of their success over the years. The Eagles have been to the Regional Semis for three consecutive seasons, most recently falling to Ridge Point. The Eagles also reached the 2018 Regional Finals and again fell to the Panthers - one step away from state. Dawson is led by coach Lauren Leth, who says goodbye to 11 seniors from 2019. But she's no stranger to reloading. When Kynnedi Johnson (Baylor) graduated, Leth developed Alexia Jones who would end up as the District MVP last season. Jones is committed to HBU and can dominate with her live arm. Setting up Jones will be junior Kamryn Scroggins, who was a second teamer a year ago. Dawson will battle district newcomers Alvin and Shadow Creek along with Pearland for the district title.
