RUN IT BACK: No. 18 Ridge Point anticipating a deeper run in the playoffs in 2025
18 -- RIDGE POINT PANTHERS
Although they were expected to contend in a ridiculously talented district in 2023, the Panthers (23-11) managed to secure a playoff spot before unfortunately being eliminated by perennial power Seven Lakes in the opener.
Regardless of last year’s result, coach Darren Johnson will see to it that his guys learn from their successes and defeats moving forward.
Ridge Point does have the luxury of bringing back the reigning District MVP Dorian Hayes (Sr. F/G), who recently committed to UTSA, and should continue to elevate the entire roster.
Second-teamer Logan Menefee (Sr. PF/C) provides considerable height and athleticism in the paint, while honorable mentions Nick Oliveri (Sr. PG), Jordan Hill (Sr. G) and Jaden Jinks (Jr. PF) provide even more veteran leadership to a threatening RPHS rotation.
