Crosby's Kade Eudy
Crosby’s Kade Eudy is more known for his time spent on the baseball diamond, however, he was given the daunting task of filling in as the new Cougars signal-caller this past Fall, following the departure of 2022 all-district selection Cyrin Myles.
While it may be a challenge to engage at a high level in multiple sports, that hasn’t stopped Eudy.

“I’ve been playing baseball my whole life,” he said. “I didn’t really pick up football until middle school, but it’s definitely helped me to have a tougher mindset due to the different coaching styles. Football has provided me with the mentality to get through more adversity than normal. Plus, it keeps my arm in shape year-round which is always a plus.
“I love pitching, but I just love competition even more. I hate to lose, so something gets inside of me that fires me up.”
It would seem that competitive edge has paid dividends for the senior Cougar, given that he’s set to join the Texas Christian University program at the conclusion of his final baseball season with Crosby.
“I was drawn to TCU because of the coaches, the people there and the area that it’s in,” said Eudy. “It’s a really good program, and I really think that it can help me to develop as a ballplayer. I’ve been a college baseball fan since I was young. So, now that I get to be a part of it, it’s an amazing opportunity.”
Considering his past within the game, Eudy’s plans for the future naturally turn towards the next step.
“The end goal is hopefully to get drafted one day,” he said. “It would be nice to make some good money and help to provide for my family. It’s not going to be easy, obviously, but achieving the ‘good life’ never is. So, I’ve just got to keep working hard.”
When he’s not on the field, Eudy likes to spend his time watching sports documentaries that detail untold stories, such as The Last Dance, and compete with his friends online in games like MLB The Show or Fortnite.

After narrowly falling to Fulshear in the second round of last year’s postseason, Eudy and the Cougars plan to put on a “show” of their own as the playoffs approach.
His natural competitiveness will see to that.
