Rosehill Christian primed for State Title as VYPE's No. 1 private school girls team
No. 1 Rosehill Christian Eagles
The Eagles were on the cusp of bringing home a State Championship a year ago. Rosehill Christian reached the TAPPS 3A State Championship Game but fell just short. The Eagles finished the year 35-3 overall and a perfect 12-0 in district play.
Rosehill Christian has a legit shot of getting back and contending for the crown with four starters returning. A trio of first-team, all-state selections are back in Caitlyn Wilson (14 ppg, 6 rpg, 4 spg, 4 apg), Mercy Freeman (16 ppg, 10 rpg, 3 spg) and Madison Wilson (11 ppg, 5 rpg, 3 spg), who will lead the charge. Second-team, all-state pick Charity Montgomery is another one to watch after averaging nine points and eight rebounds per game.
Steve Krantz enters his 20th season of leading this team and has 421 career coaching victories.
