HOUSTON – Since Kyndall Hunter pulled on the Cypress Creek uniform, everyone has had an eye on her.
Hunter has played varsity since her freshman year – where she averaged 17.5 points per game – and is turning the corner into her junior season in 2019.
As Hunter gets further into her career, in which she has scored 1,395 points, the thoughts of where she will play college ball are beginning to ramp up.
Recently, Hunter visited Rice University, which made the NCAA Tournament last year for the first time since 2005.
VYPE caught up with Hunter about her visit, how recruiting is going and more.
VYPE: How was your visit at Rice?
Hunter: "My visit was great and I learned a lot about what my priorities should be when choosing a school."
VYPE: Rice made the NCAA tourney last year, does that heighten your interest in them?
Hunter: "Yes, I'm more interested because Coach [Tina Langley] showed me where they came from and where they are at now. I was very impressed and happy for them."
VYPE: How's your recruiting process going? Anymore visits coming up?
Hunter: "Recruiting is going well. Yes, I'm trying to organize school/basketball schedule with visits so it's a little tough right now."
VYPE: What are you looking forward to this season?
Hunter: "I'm looking forward to taking this exciting journey with my teammates. I want to go far as we can as a team and enjoy the ride."
