In the Class 5A rankings, nearly everyone stood pat outside of Texas City.
Galveston Ball blanked Texas City 27-0, moving the Tors up a spot to No. 3. Randle crushed Elsik to remain No. 1, while Iowa Colony took down Crosby 24-0 to stay at No. 2. Lake Creek got back in the win column with a win against St. Thomas, while FB Marshall beat Dallas Skyline, 28-14.
Week 3 will bring more chaos as district play nears.
