No. 8 -- Cy-Fair Bobcats
Cy-Fair brings back plenty of experience in 2024. The Bobcats return 10 varsity players, including nine starters, off a 19-win team that went undefeated in District 17-6A.
Their run in the playoffs ended in the Area Round a year ago and the Bobcats look to get past that as they seek a 19th-straight playoff appearance.
Returning BFND starters earned a plethora of awards including a Defensive MVP award, two first-team, all-district awards and five second-team, all-district selections. San Jac-commit Yadira Ortiz and Temple-commit Dalanee Ekster are among that group, along with Alexis Moreno, Isabella Rios and Kat Kram.
“They know what our program is about, they value our team culture, and they want to make an impact in our sport,” said head coach Marissa Stevens.
