Hebron vs. Allen Neena Sidhu (VYPE U - VYPE Media)
Hebron vs. Allen -- Friday, November 12 at 7 p.m.
Hebron Hawks (5-5, 5-2) Takoda Bridges has been a driving force for the Hebron Hawks so far this season. Posting six 100-yard games, Bridges has proven that he should not be slept on when it comes to defending. The wide receiver ranks second among 6A athletes in the DFW area in receiving yards and will only want to work harder coming into the first round of playoffs against a team like Allen.
Allen Eagles (8-2, 5-1) Allen has suffered an unusual amount of losses this season. The usually strong team is going to have to make sure their focus is in the right place on Friday night in order to put a stop to Hebron's Bridges. However, the Eagle offense has a couple of weapons of their own in running back Jaylen Jenkins and Devyn Turner who have been known to score when called upon.
What To Expect: A hard fought match- it's as simple as that. Both teams are good and Hebron is going to come in knowing that Allen is a weakened team than their usual dominance. Allen, on the other hand, is going to want to prove that they are the same old Allen that is used to going far and playing hard.
▲ North Crowley vs. Southlake Carroll Neena Sidhu (VYPEU - VYPE Media)
North Crowley vs. Southlake Carroll -- Friday, November 12 at 7 p.m.
North Crowley Panthers (7-3, 5-2) The Panthers have pulled from their sources all season in order to power their week-after-week domination through the regular season. With strong passers in both senior quarterback Quinton Jackson and freshman quarterback Chris Jimerson, the Panthers offense is pretty much set. Jackson will definitely be one to watch as not only is he a good passer, but as a dual-threat he is amazing and quick on his feet when the Panthers need a big score.
Southlake Carroll Dragons (10-0, 6-0) The Dragons have more than proved that they are more than merely "hype" when it comes to being one of the greatest football teams in the DFW area, if not the entire state. Posting an undefeated regular season, the Dragons are looking to plow through all of their playoff opponents in an attempt to get back to the state title game... this time winning it all. Kaden Anderson has been a strong force in the pocket and the Dragons will likely not see Landon Samson back in this week who is out with a shoulder injury, but fans can expect big things from Owen Allen on Friday night.
What To Expect: This is not to say that upsets don't happen-- we have seen plenty of times this season that they do, however fans shouldn't expect anything less than a Southlake Carroll domination on Friday night. The team has been strong and hungry all season.
▲ Prosper vs. Flower Mound Marcus Neena Sidhu (VYPEU - VYPE Media)
Prosper vs. Flower Mound Marcus -- Friday, November 12 at 7 p.m.
Prosper Eagles (6-4, 3-3) Prosper has been a team full of surprises this season. Although their district record was 3-3, that shouldn't make anyone count them out. The team has had incredible wins this season including a huge 28-23 victory over Allen. Last week, quarterback Harrison Rosar got a BYE week of sorts as he sat out against McKinney Boyd to rest for the playoffs. Expect Rosar to come into the game rested, clear eyed, and ready to get the job done.
Flower Mound Marcus Marauders (8-2, 6-1) The Marauders are strong this season and they haven't slowed down from the start. Despite two losses, Flower Mound Marcus has continually shown that they can do better and are better. Coming in on a six-game win-streak, fans can expect to see the Marauders play tough against Prosper while the Flower Mound Marcus defense really tests Prosper's Rosar.
What To Expect: This is a revenge-match for all intents and purposes. Last season, Prosper defeated Flower Mound Marcus 38-19 in the first round of the playoffs. This season, Flower Mound Marcus wants to show that they have what it takes to shut down Prosper. The Marauders defense can be expected to put up a fight on Friday night, but Rosar and company aren't about to slow down.
▲ McKinney Boyd vs. Lewisville Neena Sidhu (VYPEU - VYPE Media)
McKinney Boyd vs. Lewisville -- Friday, November 12 at 7 p.m.
McKinney Boyd Broncos (8-2, 4-2) The Broncos have been a dark horse of sorts this season. No on expected them to do well and yet they have posted a historic season for their school, starting 5-0 on the season for the first time ever. Junior quarterback Ryan Shackleton has made it known this season that he is one of the best passers in the area while senior Carter Whitefield makes sure to get the job done on the run for the Broncos. The defense has also been able to step up in difficult moments.
Lewisville Farmers (9-1, 6-1) Lewisville has been an incredible team for quite some time now, but this season they are really showing their strength. The team has a young quarterback in Ethan Terrell and despite being young, he plays like a seasoned veteran. Throwing for over 2,100 yards on the season so far, Terrell can be expected to play strong on Friday night. Terrell threw a hail-mary to Kye Stone last week to defeat Hebron 37-35 and can be expected to come in feeling good.
What To Expect: Both teams are strong. On paper, Lewisville might be the favorite here, but McKinney Boyd has been surprising all season- they just might have a few tricks up their sleeves still in order to put a stop to the Farmers' strong season.
▲ Flower Mound vs. Denton Guyer Neena Sidhu (VYPEU - VYPE Media)
Flower Mound vs. Denton Guyer -- Friday, November 12 at 7 p.m.
Flower Mound Jaguars (5-5, 4-3) Florida commit, Nick Evers, has been leading the Jaguars all season. As a strong passer, Evers has thrown 18 touchdowns on just under 2,200 passing yards. Evers, however, is also the team's leading rusher with 14 touchdowns on 586 rushing yards. Evers might have a great game on Friday, but Flower Mound's offense is going to have to figure something else out if he starts to tire against a strong Guyer defense.
Denton Guyer Wildcats (9-1, 5-1) The Wildcats have been incredible this season posting big, statement wins over the likes of reigning state champion Denton Ryan, Prosper, McKinney Boyd, and more. They are led by four-star quarterback Jackson Arnold who has been at his highest-level of performance all season long. Aside from a strong offense, they have a strong defense as well. The Guyer defense has been able to put a stop to their opponents play with what always seems to be effortless ease.
What To Expect: Denton Guyer domination. Flower Mound is tough- there's no doubt about that, but Guyer is on a mission this season and no one is going to stand in their way as long as they have a say in the matter.
