Saving the best for last?

While Magnolia knocked off Magnolia West in the "Magnolia Bowl" last weekend to get back in the Top 10, there are a few huge matchups this weekend.

No. 3 New Caney faces No. 5 Porter in the "Battle of 59." New Caney has never lost this game, but it should be a shoot-out.

Foster will try and hold off Hightower as well.

Manvel got a scare from Willowridge last weekend but remain undefeated and No. 2. Paetow could be the story on the season in Class 5A. No one saw them coming and will be in their first playoff in school history.

Speaking or moderate surprises -- Barbers Hill is learning how to win. The Eagles went on the road to PNG and got another district win to stay undefeated.
