McKinney North basketball has been working their way to the top over the course of the last few seasons. The team has posted great seasons with strong performances on the court and this year they are looking to fight through their schedule in order to make a strong playoff push. VYPEDFW takes a dive into the Bulldogs' season so far and what fans should expect from the team the rest of this season:
Last season, the Bulldogs finished second in their district just behind a tough Lovejoy team. With strong wins over the likes of Dallas Hillcrest, Colleyville Heritage, Denton Ryan, The Colony, and more the team posted a 22-6 overall record (12-2 in district play). Despite playing hard in their playoff games, the Bulldogs fell in week 2 of the playoffs to Carrollton Newman Smith.
So far this season, the Bulldogs are fighting their way through their schedule and making every moment on the court matter. With an 8-6 overall record, McKinney North has defeated the likes of Forney, Denton Ryan, Carrollton Turner, and more. Most recently, the Bulldogs posted a physical 47-43 victory over Hebron during a tournament in order to fuel their fire headed into the rest of their district schedule at the start of the new year. Fans can expect the Bulldogs to play hard this season and continue their climb toward the top of the district standings.
