HOUSTON - It has been all smiles for St. Pius X basketball to start district play.
The Panthers opened district play on Friday at home with a dominating 80-45 victory over Beaumont Kelly and then carried that momentum into Tuesday against St. John XXIII. The Panthers are 2-0 in district play.
In the 35-point win over Kelly, Jason Jefferson (19), Derrick Brown III (15), Jamikah Chevis (13 & 10 reb) led the way for the Panthers. On Tuesday, it was Jalen Wysinger's night scoring 19, grabbing 10 boards and five assists in the win. Jason Johnson scored 15 and Derrick Brown had 10.
