VYPE U: Porter Track Season is Underway

Both Porter track teams have two track meets under their belts now, the Harriam Relays and our very own Spartan Relays.

At the Spartan Relays, the girls placed 1st overall. Our very own Kendal Brown received top athlete at the meet, with Eva Abshire in second place. The girls had multiple 1st place finishes in the 100M Dash, 400M Dash, 4x200M Relay, 300M Hurdles, 4x400M Relay, and Long Jump. Second-place finishes included the 400M Dash, 4x100M Relay and Long Jump. Third-place finishes were in the 1600M Run, 3200M Run, and the 800M Run.

The guys finished 5th overall. Jalynn Briely had the second highest amount of points. First place finishes included the Long Jump. Second-place finishes included the long jump. Third-place finishes included the 400M Dash, 4x200M Relay, 4x400M Relay, Discus, and triple Jump.

At the Harriman Relays both teams finished in 2nd palace right behind Grand Oaks. On the boys side, Luke Cordle placed as top male athlete, followed by Caleb Morris in 2nd. First place finishes included the 200M Dash, 4x200M Dash, and Long Jump. Second-place finishes were the 100M Dash, 200M Dash, 400M Dash, 4x100M Relay, 4x400M Relay, and High Jump. Third-place finishes were in High Jump.

The girls had first-place finishes in the 300M Hurdles, Shot Put and Discus. Second Place finishes included the 4x100M Relay, 4x200M Relay, and the 4x400M Relay. Third Place finishes included the 100M Dash, 100M Hurdles, and Long Jump.
