After capturing the hearts of Houston en route to the Little League World Series a year ago, the Post Oak Little League (POLL) boys of summer are back at it again.
POLL knocked off Western Hills Little League 1-0 behind a two-hit effort from pitcher Jack Kyle to win the 2019 Texas East State Tournament. It's POLL's third consecutive title, which makes them the only team in Texas Little League history to ever win a Texas State Championship 3 times in a row, according to the Director of Little League Baseball.
In 4 years this team, who has kept most of the roster intact, has combined for an unprecedented 43-2 record. A true testament to the commitment of the players, coaches, and parents involved with the league.
The Little Leaguers travel to Waco next week to play in the Regional Championship, one step away from the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA. They will play Mississippi next Thursday at 5PM on the Longhorn Network.
