Prosper Rock Hill baseball advances to UIL Regional Quarterfinals in program's first season
As a first-year program, Prosper Rock Hill has had everything to prove this baseball season. Despite being brand new to the diamond, the Blue Hawks have shown nothing but true grit and a desire to succeed. This proved to be true in their one-game UIL Class 5A area-round playoff matchup against W.T. White on Thursday.
The Blue Hawks fell behind early, but that didn't stop them from rallying to defeat the Longhorns 9-5 on Thursday evening. In the top of the sixth, Josh Livingston hit a bases-loaded, three-run triple giving the Blue Hawks a 7-2 lead. Rock Hill added two more runs before the end of the game to seal their victory.
The Blue Hawks have posted big wins against the likes of Crandall, McKinney North, Highland Park, Frisco Liberty and more so far this season. Rock Hill advances to the UIL Regional Quarterfinals where they will play the winner of Hillcrest and Lovejoy.
