A Look Back
Last season the Stephenville Yellow Jackets posted a perfect, undefeated season. The team went 16-0 (5-0 in district play) and topped it off with their first state title in nearly a decade. After working their way through their schedule with smart defense and explosive offense, the Yellow Jackets knew just what they had to do to finish strong and they did it in a 38-21 state championship victory over Austin LBJ.
Looking Ahead
Stephenville had some big time playmakers graduate in the spring, but they still have notable returners who are sure to make a huge impact this fall. Tate Maruska, Julian Iribarren, and Ryder Lambert will all be returning for an explosive offensive presence. Lambert, Kyler Eudy, and Jack Barkley will be leading the defense to victory as well.
What To Expect
The Yellow Jackets have enough depth and experience to keep the team focused not only through the off season, but the preseason and district play as well. Running into this year on a 16 game win-streak with a state title still giving them motivation, fans can expect the Yellow Jackets to work and put in the effort for big time results. Expect to see Stephenville deep in playoffs yet again!
