HOUSTON - The numbers are just ridiculous.
In just three playoff games, Texas A&M-commit Devon Achane has put up numbers that some running backs hope they can post in a regular season. Some don't even reach his numbers through a 10-game season.
Achane has been the MVP of all three Fort Bend Marshall playoff games and for good reason. He's been unstoppable.
The senior's best game came against Port Neches-Groves in the Bi-District round, rushing 19 times for 252 yards and four scores. Next, he posted 232 on 23 carries and four scores against A&M Consolidated. Most recently, Huntsville was the victim.
Twenty-three carries for 200 yards and three touchdowns to go along with four catches for 57 yards and a touchdown.

In the playoffs, Achane has racked up 691 yards (230.3 per game) on 65 carries averaging a ridiculous 10.63 yards per carry. He has also reeled in six catches for 108 yards and the score.
Achane has been amazing and will be in the running for a lot of awards once this season is all said and done.
This week, Achane and Fort Bend Marshall get a shot at redemption against Manvel in the Regional Finals on Saturday. The two met earlier this year with Manvel winning 38-34 on September 20. Achane was "held to" 187 yards and two scores in that game.
We will see if Achane can keep up his 200-plus yards per game in the playoffs up against Manvel this week.
