It has been a phenomenal spring for Matthew Boling.
From shocking the track world with a wind-aided sub-10 second 100-meter dash, to breaking the high school National record by running a 10.13-second 100-meter dash at the UIL State Track and Field meet to winning the USATF U20 National Championship in the 100-meter and 200-meter dash this past weekend.
Now, add another award to the mantle - the Gatorade National Boys Track & Field Athlete of the Year.
The Strake Jesuit graduate, who is signed to Georgia, received the national award at a ceremony on Wednesday at Strake Jesuit High School.
Boling has been a viral sensation all spring and has been a must-watch performer every time he steps on the track and that will continue at Georgia and maybe even in the 2020 Olympic Games.
