District basketball is in full swing for both boys and girls basketball across the state of Texas - some programs have played their fair share already while others are just getting underway.
Either way, about a month of regular season basketball remains before the playoffs begin.
Checking in with the McKinney ISD boys and girls basketball teams, here are where each team stands and what's coming down the pike for all six teams.
McKinney Boys and Girls Teams
<p><strong>BOYS</strong>: Currently sit at 15-8 with a 3-0 district record. The boys team is riding a 3-game win streak - all in district - having taken down three Plano teams by an average win margin of 7.33 points. With 11 games left on the calendar, McKinney sits in a three-way tie for the 9-6A district lead.</p><p>Game this week: at Jesuit (1/14); at McKinney Boyd (1/17)</p><p><strong>GIRLS</strong>: Currently own a 13-9 record with a 4-2 district mark after winning its last last two over Plano West and Plano East.
