It was year one for Memorial volleyball under the direction of new coach Kaddie Platt, who came over from the University of Houston.
The 'Stangs finished second in district and reached the second round of the postseason, before getting bounced by state semi-finalist Ridge Point.
"The culture coach Platt brought was one of working together to reach out goals," Lyla Traylor said. "We learned a lot and we are excited about next season and chasing a district title."
Logan LeRoux was named the District Outstanding Setter, while Brooke Duncan, Taylor Odum, Lyla Traylor and Lauren Elie were first-teamers. Kingsley Wallace was a second-teamer.
The future is bright for the 'Stangs as LeRoux, Odum, Traylor, Elie and Wallace all return next season.
