Cullman Times PREP FOOTBALL PREVIEW: Region openers await local teams in Week 2
Per Cullman Times:
Teams from all over the state will begin their postseason pushes on Friday night.
That's right — it's time for our local squads to duke it out in their respective region openers.
Well, except for Addison and Vinemont, both of which will kick off their region slates next week.
But it's currently Week 2, and there are several matchups on the schedule that need our attention.
Before we begin, though, remember to cast your vote in "The People's Pick," a series of Twitter polls posted on my timeline (@winfreyjake) each and every Monday afternoon.
Time to take a crack at these games.
Non-Region Game
Class 2A Winston County (2-0) at Class 2A No. 5 Addison (1-1): The Bulldogs head into Friday's tilt coming off their first setback of the season — a 28-16 loss to 3A No. 2 Piedmont.
The Yellow Jackets, meanwhile, have picked up victories over Hackleburg (44-16) and Meek (38-18).
Addison should provide a much more formidable challenge.
Additionally, the Bulldogs have lost just four times to Winston County since 1993.
History favors the home team in this one, and so do I.
% My Pick: Addison
% People's Pick: Addison (73 percent — 137 votes)
