BIG LEAGUE TALENT: Marsh has been the face of young Jordan program
THE GREATER HOUSTON-AREA HAS SEEN ITS FAIR SHARE OF STAR HIGH SCHOOL WIDE RECEIVERS OVER THE YEARS, FROM THE LIKES OF CEEDEE LAMB (COWBOYS) AND JAYLEN WADDLE (DOLPHINS), TO NOW COLLEGE STARS NICK ANDERSON (OKLAHOMA) AND MATTHEW GOLDEN (TEXAS LONGHORNS).
Over the past two years, anew name has emerged as a future star in Katy Jordan’s Andrew Marsh.
The 4-Star wide receiver has been one of the top wideout prospects in the country since his freshman year, but the journey hasn’t always been easy.
Marsh’s football journey started in LL with his Dad as his coach, who lost his battle with cancer early on. Marsh had to grow up fast, but had is motivation always by his side... his Mom.

“She’s been the person I look up to the most in my life,” Marsh said. “She inspires me every day with the way she works hard and takes care of me and my siblings. I am lucky to have a mom who supports me going after my dreams and I am so thankful for that.”
Though many see Marsh as this superstar athlete, he just likes to see himself as just kid.
“I like to say I’m a normal guy with big goals,” he said with a laugh. “I like to listen to music, I like to drive around and travel. When people look at me, I want them to see somebody who is going to work hard in all aspects in my life to be the best.”
As he enters his senior year, Marsh is excited to finish out his final journey with the Warriors football team and hopefully make some more history.

“The whole journey has been amazing,” Marsh said. “I’ve been on varsity since freshman year and got to lead the team to our first playoff berth in school history. I’ve been playing with my guys since Little League, so we’re ready to make more history this year.
"As for me, I don’t know what’s in store for my senior year. I know it’s going to be crazy... stay tuned.”

BREAKING: 4-Star Katy Jordan WR Marsh commits to Michigan
The Texas high school football season is only a week away, and with that comes the last time many seniors will step onto the gridiron.
For one senior, he made his college commitment ahead of his final high school season today.
Katy Jordan 4-Star WR Andrew Marsh committed to Michigan over Washington, USC, Colorado and Texas.
The decision to go to Michigan ultimately came down to the visits he took up and the relationships he made with head coach Sherrone Moore.
“My official visit to Michigan was my sixth time up to Ann Arbor,” Marsh said. “I had a really great conversation with Coach Moore after dinner, and after talking to the people around me I felt like it was the best fit for me.”
This commitment for Marsh has been a long journey, being one of the top wide receiver recruits in the country. Choosing Michigan, Marsh is excited to continue his football journey with his end goal in sight.
“This has been something I’ve been dreaming of since I was a kid, getting to choose my school of choice,” he said. “I’m just ready to get Michigan, to start working and develop to reach my ultimate goal of making it to the NFL.”
The Texas native is trading the warm Friday night lights to the icy cold Saturday night lights of the Big House and is looking forward to playing in one particularly big-time game.
“I’m most excited for that Ohio State game," he said. :The history behind it, the rivalry, it’s the biggest game in college football other than the National Championship, so I’m excited to be able to compete in it.”
While they might not meet on the field this year, Marsh will face a friendly foe once he gets to Ann Arbor in 5-Star Devin Sanchez, who is committed to Ohio State.
The two H-Town star athletes coached in a youth camp together earlier this summer, but don’t get it mistaken, once they hit the gridiron for "The Game" next year, the rivalry begins.
“I guess that’s just how it works sometimes, Devin and I are pretty good friends and talk quite a bit,” he said. “I don’t think that the friendship will go away, but once that game comes, it’s time to go to work.”
Michigan is getting one of the top wide receiver prospects in the nation in Andrew Marsh and he has a message for Wolverine fans as he commits there.
“Wolverine fans, I’m coming,” Marsh said. “I’m ready to be a part of that offense, score some touchdowns and bring back another National Championship to the community.”
