A Look Back
Last season, the Lady Chaps played hard through tournament play and into their district schedule as they posted a 9-3 district record (29-10 overall) to finish in the No. 2 spot amongst district opponents. The team defeated the likes of Lewisville, Lubbock, Red Oak, Ponder, Sanger, Melissa, Anna, and more en route to the playoffs where they had a heck of a run.
During the playoffs, the Lady Chaps didn't lose a single set through four games as they defeated Arlington Summit International Prep, Alvarado, Midlothian Heritage, and Sunnyvale. Despite losing a heartbreaker to Celina, the team showed strong efforts before their season was ended.
Looking Ahead
The team is expected to see some strong returners on the court. There's no doubt that they are going to hit summer practice and the beginning of tournament play with the spirit to continue showing their level of dominance on the court. Aubrey has proven to have dedicated sportsmanship that continues to power a winning record.
What To Expect
Full steam ahead. The team has had a taste of greatness and isn't going to slow down for anyone. With the experience to get far in playoffs, fans can expect Aubrey to make a deeper push- maybe even a state title appearance if not a state title. This team is hungry and looking to bring the whole thing home this season.
