BASES LOADED: No. 6 Bellaire primed to make 30th-straight trip to postseason
No. 6 -- Bellaire Cardinals
Bellaire has been the banner program of Houston ISD for over the last quarter century. Entering the 2024 season, the Cardinals are riding a 29-year playoff streak. The last 27 of those has come with Thomas Tuffly at the helm as head coach.
The veteran coach enters his 28th year of leading the program with 657 career coaching victories.
Seven starters return for Tuffly from a team that won 29 games and reached the Regional Semifinals. Key returners for Bellaire in 2024 will include Ainsley Pinkerton and Mia Lopez, who will be two of their big hitters at the dish.
