Birdville Girls Hoops is built with resiliency
With a couple of tough seasons behind them, the Birdville Lady Hawks are using the past as motivation to build stronger this season. The team has proven to be nothing short of resilient and ready to fight and battle in any situation in order to accomplish their goals for the season. VYPE DFW takes a look at the Lady Hawks' season so far and what fans can expect from them through the rest of district play:
Last season, the team had a season that wasn't expected. Although the Lady Hawks posted a 5-18 overall record, the team was still able to fight through their schedule and come up with great victories against the likes of Denton, Denton Ryan, and more. The offense scored 776 points throughout the season against their opponents and was unable to make a playoff appearance. With the season behind them, the team used the offseason to get stronger, regroup, and figure out the right path needed in order to approach this season with the resiliency and tenacity of fighters.
So far this season, the Lady Hawks have posted big wins over the likes of Fort Worth Christian, Weatherford, and Abilene en route to district play. The team is scheduled to face-off against school district rival Richland on Friday, January 7th where they hope to come away with a big time victory in district. With quite a few tough teams ahead in district, fans can expect Birdville to show their stamina on the court and finish the season strong.
