THE RANKINGS: No. 15 - Brazoswood Buccaneers
Another changing of the guard comes at Brazoswood High School this season as Laura Oltman called it a career after 30 years. Step in Amber Sather, who enters her eighth year on campus at Brazoswood but the first as head coach of the Lady Bucs.
Sather takes over a program that went 31-9 a year ago and reached the Regional Semifinals. Seven starters return off this team including Miami Ohio Universitycommit Mia Estrello.
Other key returners include Audrey Sierra (Midwestern State-commit), Karissa Ventura (Sul Ross-commit), Rylie Perk (Lyon College-commit), Keira Thacker (San Jac-commit), Kimora Quave, Ali Rios, Siannah Nava and Liliana Salazar.
Keys to success for Sather’s first season include “working hard, a positive mentality and having fun”. In the end, she wants her team to “Fear None” in 2025.
