VYPE recently held a fan poll for the Austin/San Antonio Private School Player of the year. After a week of voting, the winner with 34.5 percent of the votes is Ashlynn Alvarado of Brentwood Christian.

Ashlynn had 534 kills, 81 aces, 34 blocks, and 633 digs on the year while helping lead the Lady Bears to a 44-8-1 record and coming up as runner-ups in TAPPS 4A.
