Cigarroa’s quest for the postseason starts on Friday

Cigarroa opened the year with a win over Zapata, its first victory since 2017. Since then, the Toros have struggled with four straight losses.
After a much-needed bye last week, the Toros (1-4, 0-1 District 16-5A II) aim to get back into the win column as they travel to Roma for a 7 p.m. matchup Friday. Although the off week was necessary for Cigarroa — it experienced a plethora of injuries through the first five games — head coach Carlo Hein feels like it's Week 1 again.
