BREAKING: Clear Springs 3-Star WR Tounkara Commits To Arizona
Commitment season is in full effect as we are only a month away from the Texas high school football season and many recruits across the lonestar state are making their commitments on where they will play their collegiate ball.
One of the top players in the city of Houston and in the state made his decision today.
2025 Clear Springs 3-Star wide receiver Muizz Tounkara committed to Arizona today picking the Wildcats over Wisconsin and Kansas.
VYPE caught up with Tounkara about his commitment and upcoming senior year.
Tounkara was one of the fastest rising recruits in Houston this offseason after a big Junior year.
After dropping his Top 3 of Arizona, Wisconsin and Kansas in June, the 6’4 WR decided to make Arizona his home.
“The bond that I created with the players and the coaching staff really felt like home,” Tounkara said.
“As soon as I stepped on campus I already could feel that this was the place for me. The love they showed me and my family and the opportunity that is there for me there made it an easy decision.”
Relationships were big for Tounkara’s recruitment, and the relationship with Arizona WR coach Bobby Wade really is what gained his commitment.
“Coach Wade and I’s relationship was great from the start,” he said. “He [Coach Wade] played in the NFL and I know he can develop me into the player I want to be, I’m ready to get to work.”
Now committed, the 6’4 wide receiver has big goals for himself and Clear Springs this fall.
“This year I think we’re an underrated team in the city. We lost some players in the 2024 class but I think we will shock a lot of people,” he said. “For me personally I plan on having a big year being 1st team all-district, first team all-state and District MVP.”
Big Senior year is loading for Muizz Tounkara, watch out for the new Arizona commit on the field next fall.

BASES LOADED: No. 9 Clear Springs stacked with talent
No. 9 -- Clear Springs Chargers
2023: 26-12-1 (Finished 2nd in District 24-6A/Regional Semifinalist)
After taking silver in the crowded Clear Creek ISD, the Chargers would go four rounds deep into the playoffs, solidifying their reputation as a perennial contender.
This season should be no different, as Clear Springs’ stellar bullpen will be headlined by senior RHPs – Tyler Ryden (Alvin CC-commit) and Connor Mondey (SHSU) – the former of which earned a unanimous first-team, all-district selection in 2023.
While pitching will be their strength, the Chargers still provide exceptional defensive and batting ability, courtesy of players such as Drew Floyd, Andrew Fonte (San Jacinto JC), and Ryan Hernandez (San Jacinto JC).
Clear Springs will contend with Clear Falls for the district title, but if history is any indication, that should be well within their capabilities.
