Ready to continue righting through their schedule, the Knights at The Covenant School have been working hard to shape a legacy on the court. This season, fans can expect resiliency from the squad. VYPE DFW takes a look at the team:
Last season, the team finished the season ranked fourth in their standings-- just behind Carrollton Prince of Peace, but ahead of Fort Worth All Saint's, Dallas Christian, The Shelton School, and Vangaurd College Prep. With 52% winning percentage and a 12-11 overall record, the Knights recorded one of their best seasons since the 2017-18 winter season.
Ready to continue their building, the program has already recorded a winning record so far this season. Looking to put their entire effort on the court, learn from challenging moments, and showcase their ability, this team has the makings of something special. Be sure you catch them in action this season! Check out a small photo gallery from the VYPE DFW Winter Media Day below:

PREVIEW: Knights look for greatness
Each season is a new chance to get off on the right foot. Teams spend time in the offseason reflecting on the season before in order to better their performance, learn from past mistakes, and prepare for the next season. The Covenant School Knights are already off on a fresh start as they look for greatness this season.
A Look Back
The Knights posted a less-than-ideal last season as they finished fourth in their district standings. Despite a tough season, the Knights were able to post victories over the likes of Dallas Lakehill Prep, Harvest Christian Academy, and more through non-district play. In district, the team posted a handful of victories over the likes of Bishop Gorman and The Shelton School.
With a playoff appearance, The Covenant School Knights put up a strong fight against Lubbock's Trinity Christian Academy, but eventually fell and entered their offseason.
So far this season
With the quest to be better than ever and sights set always toward the future, the Knights have been putting in the work on the court in practice and games to prepare for their district schedule ahead. This season, the Knights opened their schedule with a three-game win streak. Posting victories over Dallas Lutheran (68-50), Fort Worth THESA (63-54), and Cistercian (32-27), the Knights set the tone for the season and are looking to continue posting great victories.
Other wins this season have been over Dallas Lakehill Prep (71-31), McKinney Cornerstone Christian Academy (52-16), and First Baptist (61-53).
What To Expect
As the team inches toward district play, fans can expect to see continued improvement on the court. With only one non-district game left, the team looks to open up district play strong against Tyler All Saints Episcopal in front of a home crowd on January 6th at 7:30 p.m.
Throughout the season, expect to see the Knights continue to rebuild as they face-off against the likes of The Shelton School, McKinney Christian Academy, Brook Hill, and more. The Knights have an excellent shot at another playoff appearance this season. Be sure you don't miss a single moment of action from The Covenant School's boys' basketball team!
