THE SLEEPERS: Cypress Woods Wildcats
Cypress Woods has some reloading to do after graduating eight seniors from a 33-12 Regional Quarterfinalist squad. Senior Emily Schaper is the team’s top returning leader in kills and digs. She averaged 1.9 kills and 2.8 digs per set last season.
Junior Madison Presley brings a veteran presence at the net defensively (55 total blocks). Senior Alex Diaz is also a reliable defensive playmaker. The Wildcats will have to find a setter.
Schaper and Presley are formidable talents, but they’ll need help around them.
