Fulshear girls hoops all charged up
Fulshear girls basketball looks to be running on all cylinders as the Chargers knocked off the Terry Rangers 66-25 in a district match-up.
VYPE caught the highlights as Fulshear looks to make another run to State.
BLEED PURPLE: No. 4 Fulshear expecting another run to State
Fulshear played in one of the last games of the season in 2023. The Chargers ended up falling just short and finished as the Class 5A State Semifinalist with a record of 33-6.
It will be a new era for Fulshear in the 2023-2024 season as their former head coach took a new job at Atascocita. So, enter Justin Jones to take over the program as he moves over from Klein Collins where he was an assistant.
Jones will have some firepower back as Ruke Ogbevire (Jr. G) returns as the team’s leading scorer after averaging 13 points per game a year ago. A trio of juniors will be ones to watch in Sophia Semmler (5.8 ppg, 5.1 rpg), Campbell Hill (5.8 ppg, 2 rpg) and Kinzy Searcy (5.5 ppg, 1.1 rpg).
Watch for the Chargers again to make another run at the Dome.
