A Look Back
Last season didn't go quite as expected for Prosper. The team finished fourth in their district with a 3-3 district record (9-5 overall). Although the Eagles faced a couple of roadblocks, the team never stopped moving forward and continued to show what Prosper football is all about- determination and grit!
Towards the end of district play, the Eagles really put the pedal to the metal and began giving their opponents tests. Their biggest feat of the season was taking down taking down Allen in a hard-fought 28-23 matchup. The team continued to display their battle-tested strength on the field as they moved into playoffs and took down the likes of Flower Mound Marcus, Grand Prairie, and El Paso Eastwood before eventually falling to state runner-up Denton Guyer.
Looking Ahead
A key returner for the Prosper Eagles this season is quarterback Harrison Rosar. Rosar posted an incredible season last year with over 3,000 yards, 33 touchdowns, and a 57% pass completion rating. With strong returners like Rosar leading the group, the Eagles are sure to take on this season with a winning mentality.
The Eagles will open their season away from home against Mesquite on August 18th.
What To Expect
A team on a mission. The Eagles are going to want to do better than last year in district play. They want to show that their strength is more than a late season, last ditch effort to make a deep playoff run. Expect the group to use preseason play to sharpen their skills before taking on a tough district. Fans can expect another strong playoff push from this group!
