RECRUIT SCOOP: Iowa Colony WR Warren’s Recruitment Heating Up
Iowa Colony is one of the rising football programs, not only in Houston, but Texas high school football. The Pioneers have some of the top prospects in the state.
One of those top prospects is 2026 four-star wide receiver Jayden Warren.
I caught up with Warren about his recruitment as of late... what schools are standing out and his upcoming senior season?
...
As a junior this past fall, Warren tallied 26 receptions for 613 yards and 14 touchdowns.
The talented wide receiver also had a big performance at the Navy National Combine, which has helped boost his recruitment picking up four offers this month from Stanford, Kansas State, Illinois and Texas A&M.
“The recruiting process is going great,” he said. “Many schools are looking at my film, showing interest and I’m just grateful to have the opportunity to show off my talent to coaches.”
Now at 14 offers from Division 1 programs across the country, many other have started to show interest including Arizona, Colorado, Mizzou, LSU and Notre Dame.
When asked about what schools stand out to him in his recruitment so far, Warren mentioned Oklahoma, SMU, Wisconsin, Kansas, Kansas State, Houston, and Texas A&M.
Warren also mentioned he is working on what schools he plans on taking official visits to this offseason but now he’s focused on getting ready for his senior year.
“I want to work on my consistency and become more of route-runner as well,” Warren said.
The 2026 wide receiver will be one to keep an eye on this offseason with a commitment expected before his senior year.

THE NEW POWER: No. 10 Iowa Colony making their introduction to Class 5A ball
10 -- IOWA COLONY PIONEERS
Talk about loaded.
The Iowa Colony Pioneers exploded on the Class 4A scene going 24-15 and winning their district last season. The Pioneers made history and reached the Regional Finals before falling to Stafford.
New coach Trent Olivier moves over from Pasadena Memorial and is blessed with talent.
“We have 13 kids on this team who can play,” Olivier said. “We are going to vary our lineups to our opponents and celebrate each other’s successes. It’s all about team. When you have a team full of guys who can make the extra pass, you have the chance at being really special.”
All-state guard BJ Gill returns along with running-mate RJ Green, who was all-region. Daylen Dalcour and Rodney Carter do the dirty work and are the glue guys, while Leon Graves and is a huge spark on offense.
Don’t sleep on big-man Jayden Evans, who will have an expanded role in 2025.
Moving to Class 5A will be a challenge, but the Pioneers are going to turn some heads.
