VYPE Austin/San Antonio Helmet Stickers: Week 2 (9.7.22)
Welcome to the first edition of VYPE Austin/San Antonio Helmet Stickers for the 2022 Texas High School Football season.
There were tons of amazing performances last week across the Central Texas. We compiled all of those top performances in the VYPE Austin/San Antonio Football Player of the Week Fan Poll - CLICK HERE TO VOTE - but then we boiled that down to the Top 7 performances.
These are Week 2's Helmet Sticker selections.
Jaden Greathouse-Westlake (5 Rec. 153 Yards 2 TDs, 1 Punt Return 61 Yards 1TD)
He is not one of the best wide receivers in the country for nothing. Westlake's Jaden Greathouse was very impressive in the Chaparrals win 47-14 over Judson on Friday. The senior tallied 153 yards on only 5 catches getting 2 touchdowns in the process. If that wasn't enough he also added another touchdown via a 61 yard punt return. He will be a big part in Westlake's bid for a 4-peat.

Kenny Settles-Hutto (9 Tackles, 1 PBU and 1INT for TD)
Kenny and the Hippos have been off to a hot start this season. After a win against San Marcos in Week 1, the Hippos defeated 5A power Liberty Hill. One of the key reasons behind that was Kenny Settles who had 9 tackles, 1 pass break up and 1 huge interception returned for a touchdown (over 100 yards) during the game.

Jaxon Baize-Boerne (18/25 273 yards 4TDs)
Baize put on a how against Pleasanton this past Friday. He was near perfect, throwing for 273 yards on 25 attempts and accounting for 4 touchdowns. He also had 1 rushing touchdown to boot. Oh and did we mention all 4 of those passing touchdowns were to his brother? The Baize to Baize connection could be instrumental to the Greyhounds success this season.

Cameron Dickey-Crockett (401 Total Yards, 21 Rushes 260 Yards 3TDs, 12 Tackles)
Dickey could not be stopped in Week 2. Easily one of the top performances in Central Texas was Cameron Dickey helping Crockett to their first win of the season, 35-19 over Cedar Creek. He was 10-22 for 141 yards in the air and had 21 rushed for 260 yards and 3 touchdowns. If that wasn't enough he also wanted to get in on some of the defensive action compiling 12 tackles.

Kyree Payton-Hays (21 Rushes 153 Yards 3 TDs)
Kyree Payton has been off to a hot start this season. In game 1 he tallied a total of 200 yards and 3 touchdowns and followed that up this week with 153 yards and 3 more touchdowns in their 27-7 win over Churchill. Be on the lookout for Hays in 5A. If Payton can keep this up, they will be a team that could contend for a title.

Nicolas Lee-Clark (16/21 259 Yards 3TDs, 6 Carries 40 Yards)
San Antonio Clark has started off 2-0 to the season and some of that is because of the play of Nicolas Lee. Lee was 16-21 for 259 yards and 3 touchdowns in the air and had another 40 yards rushing off of 6 carries.

Sedrick Alexander-LBJ (41 Carries 261 Yards)
When all else failed for LBJ during Weiss' attempted comeback LBJ knew it could give the ball to Sedrick Alexander. As it had done all game to that point. Alexander rushed for an astounding 41 carries, compiling 261 yards in the process. Being at the game I can say Alexander put on a show on Thursday night.
