A Look Back
Last season the Lady Lions opened with a hot 15 game win-streak against their opponents in preseason play. The team was able to focus and come into each game with clear heads and the ability to secure victory after victory. Posting a 9-1 district record with huge victories over the likes of Trinity Christian Academy - Addison, Parish Episcopal, Ursuline, Bishop Lynch, and more, the team was able to finish at the top of their district and prepare themselves for a strong playoff run.
In playoffs, the team took down St. Pius, Bishop Lynch, and Argyle Liberty Christian before eventually falling in the state title game against Houston's St. Agnes Academy.
Looking Forward
Last year's young team looks to bring back a lot of key performers. Jadyn Livings, Mikala Young, Nicole Foster, Sloan Cleveland, and Camille Edwards all look to make their presence known on the court this season. With so many key returners making an effort to push forward and continue their streak of excellency, there's no doubt that Prestonwood has what it takes to post another incredible season!
What To Expect
Fans can expect a short regrouping time from this squad as they come into summer workouts, but it won't take long for the team to get steady on their feet. If you thought they started strong last year, expect bigger and better this year. The team has had a taste of getting far in playoffs and they are going to be hungry for more wins. Expect big things coming out of the Lady Lions this season as they work for a state title!
