A Look Back
Last season, the Bears posted a season opening loss to Duncanville, regrouped, got better, and never looked back. For the rest of the season, South Oak Cliff would prove to ride off of the high of winning and continue their dominance. The team went 8-0 in district play to finish at the top of their district before shutting down team after team in the playoffs. The Bears ended the seasons of Dallas Jefferson, Everman, Frisco, Aledo, Lovejoy, Lubbock Cooper, and finally Liberty Hill in a 23-14 championship victory.
A Look Ahead
Big names will be returning to the field for the Bears including Jamyri Cauley who led the team in receiving yards per game last season and Randy Reece who was just behind Cauley in receiving. Tedrick Williams, Brandon Jones, Billy Walton, Malik Muhammad, and more are also returning and can be expected to have big plays against their opponents all season long.
What to Expect
More dominance. Maybe a repeat. We have big time athletes returning to the field who have had a taste of being great and will stop at nothing until they get that again this season. The team is poised, mature, determined, and everything you want to see in a champion. Expect this team to go far this Fall!
