AWARDS SZN: 2024 All-VYPE Girls Soccer Team powered by Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine
The 2023-24 soccer season saw some amazing talent grace the Greater Houston-Area pitches across the public and private school landscapes.
After all was said and done, H-Town audiences saw seven teams -- Tomball Memorial, Katy Jordan, Seven Lakes, Pearland, Tomball, Goose Creek Memorial, and Brazoswood -- advance to the Regional Tournament, with Seven Lakes taking that a step further by reaching the State Semis in Georgetown.
Meanwhile, in the private school sector, Episcopal claimed their first-ever state championship within the SPC, while St. Agnes Academy, St. John XXIII, FBCA, and Cypress Christian excelled within their respective TAPPS divisions.
It was truly a year to remember for soccer fans , as there were dozens of teams loaded with some of the top athletes in the state.
With that in mind, it's time to unveil the 2024 All-VYPE Girls teams presented by Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.

TEAM OF THE YEAR: Goose Creek Memorial Patriots
Doug Brown (VYPE)
Under the direction of coach Roman Huizar, the Patriots set a new precedent for the program by reaching the third round of the postseason for the first time in the team's history.
They would then follow that up by advancing to the Regional Tournament, after defeating Santa Fe 1-0 in the Regional Quarters.
While their Cinderella season came to a close when they narrowly fell 2-1 against a formidable Georgetown opponent, the strides that this year's team made cannot be overstated.
Naturally, GCM cleaned up when it came to all-district recognition and the thrilling moments they produced this Winter will live long in the memory of their fan-base.

As mentioned earlier, the Spartans advanced all the way to the UIL State Tournament in 2024, which marked the first time the team has done so since 2012.
In her ninth year with the program, head coach Kaitlyn Eidson optimized her state-recognized players on the talented Seven Lakes roster in order to accomplish this feat.
Now that her squad has solidified itself as a state power, the bar is set high for Eidson and the Spartans moving forward.

TEAM OF THE YEAR: Episcopal Knights
Bradley C. Collier (VYPE)
2024 was a historic year for Episcopal, as the Knights would claim their first SPC State Championship in program history.
Coach Rachel Stelter had a vast array of weapons in her arsenal -- such as All-SPC selections Blake Olivier (TCU-signee), Dayla Henderson, Abby Ross, Kyra Spearks, and Franny Johnson -- which would ultimately propel her squad to the tile, following their 2-1 victory over Hockaday in February.
While there are a few key figures graduating soon, the precedent they've established should invigorate the next generation on the pitch.
