THE NEXT BIG THING: VYPE DFW’s FAB 40 Prospects of 2026
Everyone wants to know, who is the next big thing?
The Dallas-Fort Worth area has always been brimming with elite football talent. That talent is scattered across the college football landscape and even the NFL.
While the Class of 2024 has signed and are heading to campus, and the Class of 2025 prospects have all been evaluated and picked over... now we take a look at the rising juniors-to-be.
It's early, but some of the metroplex youngsters are flexing early and picking up offers.
It's the old adage, if you think you are early to offer... you are late.

PREVIEW: Continuing strong with Argyle Liberty Christian
Under the leadership of former Dallas Cowboys athlete Jason Witten, Argyle Liberty Christian is in the top 10 of the VYPE DFW Private School Preseason Football Rankings. After posting one of their better years in recent seasons last year, the team is looking toward another strong fall with the goal of making a deeper playoff run.
REWIND
Using the last few falls to regroup and pick up the pieces, the Warriors came into last season pumped up and ready to showcase their ability on the field. The team opened up their season with a big 28-7 victory over Prestonwood Christian Academy- a team that eventually made it to state, but lost to Parish Episcopal- before posting a hard-fought loss against Episcopal School of Dallas. Picking up from the loss, the team closed out the rest of their non-district schedule with victories over Lubbock's Trinity Chrisitan (35-25), Grapevine Faith (50-13), Bishop Lynch (43-14), and Frisco's Legacy Christian (38-0) before entering regular season play.
Through their regular season, the Warriors defeated Fort Worth Christian (44-34), Midland Christian (24-14), Southwest Christian School (18-6), and more to finish at the top of their district standings with an undefeated district record. In playoffs, Liberty Christian posted a 50-6 victory over Flower Mound's Coram Deo Academy before losing to Fort Worth All Saint's Episcopal School.
LOOKING AHEAD
This season, the team is ready to give it all they've got to go even further. Continuing to build onto their legacy, athletes like Michael Stump, CJ Witten, Ryan Cain, Chase Garnett, Xavier Lowery, Murphy Ren, Aidan Grummer, Brady Janusek, Cole Welliver, Brandon Jarrard, Blake Werner, and more are prepared to make big plays against all of their opponents this season.
As the team opens their schedule on Friday, August 25th against Prestonwood at home, fans can expect a fast team ready to score early and often. With the ability to work through their non-district schedule, the team should enter district play hopeful in October against Fort Worth Christian.
