Both of the Texas high school baseball and softball seasons tend to fly by. The teams start in preseason, you blink, and before you know it they are elbows deep in playoffs fighting for a chance to play on the biggest stage in the state. Sometimes, schools are lucky enough to have athletes go far in both respective playoffs. In Argyle, their tradition of greatness has continued into the 2022 playoffs season as the Eagles battle against Canyon in the Regional Semifinals and the Lady Eagles go head-to-head against Iowa Park in the Regional Finals. Argyle Eagles Baseball (30-3-1, 12-0) - Regional Semifinals

<p>After a deep playoff run last year ending in a heartbreaking loss to Stephenville, the Eagles are back at it this season- proving that hard work on and off the field pays off. This season, Argyle posted an undefeated district record with victories over the likes of Decatur, Lake Worth, Krum, Springtown, Brock, and more. With a strong defense backed by a powerful offense taking each opponent by storm, the Eagles have been nearly unstoppable. </p><p>In playoffs, Argyle has taken down Fort Worth Western Hills (13-0), Graham (13-2, 3-2) and Springtown (2-0, 6-3) while outscoring the teams by a combined 37-7. During game one of their series against Canyon on Wednesday, May 25, JC Davis dropped a beautiful single just beyond the second-baseman's reach to drive in Conor Lillis for Argyle's go-ahead and eventual game-winning score. </p><p>Fans can expect more big, timely plays from the Eagles as they close out the Regional Semifinals and look to advance to the next round- one step closer to state!</p><p>Game two of the series will be played on Thursday, May 26th at 11 a.m. at Abilene Christian University. If a game three is necessary, it will immediately follow game two. </p>
