THE CEO: Prosper's Krempin All Business On, Off Field
When Prosper offensive lineman Zaden Krempin isn't mowing down defensive lineman in the DFW-area, he's the CEO and operations manager for his lawn-mowing company - ZK Lawn Care.
“I have a lawn-mowing business with about 10-15 lawns I work on throughout the year," Kremplin laughed. “It’s definitely taught me time management and discipline. Even during the season, I'll get busy talking to colleges or going on trips to see schools, but I’ll come home from a visit on Sunday and go right to work on the lawns.”
The 6-foot-6 road-grader has become a hot commodity for DI programs after an impressive sophomore year on varsity.
“I didn’t start playing football until 7th grade,” he said. “In 8th grade, my coach told me to keep playing. Just stay working at it. I just fell in love with it my freshman year and got on to varsity this past Fall.”
Krempin’s recruitment started during the spring of his freshman year, picking up his first offer from SMU. Things took off quickly from there.
“It was crazy,” Krempin said. “Since the first offer came, more and more started coming in. It’s really just been a blessing.”
As he prepares for his junior year, Krempin holds 34 offers. He is at the epicenter of the Class of 2026 recruiting radar.
“Of course you’re going to be nervous when more people are looking at you, but for me I use it as fuel to work harder and get better," he said.
The star offensive lineman mentioned he plans to visit Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and Michigan during the year for a game. He also mentioned some school’s who are leading the pack in his recruitment.
“I would say SMU, TCU, Texas A&M and Arkansas are some school’s I really like right now,” he said. “I want a school close to home where my family could come see me play.”
Krempin already has the look of a next level offensive lineman and is currently training with Philadelphia Eagle Lane Johnson.
“He is someone I model my game after,” Krempin said. “I get to train with him in the summers and he has come over to my house. Getting to talk with him and gain knowledge about the position is a blessing.”
Watch out for Krempin and Prosper this upcoming Fall as he heads into his junior year. If you need a lawn service in the North DFW-area, give ZK Lawn Care a call.
