The 2020 boys soccer season has kicked off, so it's time to name the VYPE Houston Boys Preseason Soccer Player of the Year!

Let's kick it.
The Houston-area soccer season is embarking on district play as the "Run for State" begins now.
The area boys are led by nationally-ranked Elsik, Seven Lakes, Tompkins and Kingwood Park. College Park and Sharpstown reached state a season ago so they will be in the conversation along with Spring Woods, Strake Jesuit, Episcopal and Aldine.
The girls are headlined by Tompkins, St. Agnes, Cypress Woods and Kingwood. Don't sleep on Cinco Ranch, Atascocita, Memorial, Friendswood, Kingwood Park and The Woodlands girls as well.
Some of the top individual girls include Klein Oak's Isobel Herrod (Oregon State), Memorial's Kelsey Hranicky (Texas), Kinkaid's Jordan Guy (Ok State), Kiran Singh, Cy Woods (UTSA), Mayde Creek's Kirsten Baxa, Klein's Micah Beasley and Tompkins' Avery Burchett (Sam Houston) and Skylar Parker (UT-Tyler).
The boys are headlines by Spring Woods Benjamin Davila, Seven Lakes' Juan Pablio Dominguez, Tompkins' Bryce Robisch and Elsik's Andrei Agurrie, Edgar Renteria and Miguel Chavarria.
