RECAP
Leaving the Tigers scoreless through the first half, Beeville put on a show for their homecoming game. Putting up 24 points before halftime, the team showcased speed, agility, and strength against Floresville as the Trojans dominated the first half of play. In the second half, Floresville was able to score twice-- a touchdown in the third with a failed PAT and a touchdown in the fourth with a completed 2-point conversion. Beeville scored three more times (once in the third and twice in the fourth) to seal their victory and open up district play on a high note.
LOOKING AHEAD
With a 5-1 overall record (1-0 in district play), the Trojans have showcased talent on both sides of the ball this year with talented athletes like Elijah Sustaita, brothers Darion and Davyn Perez, Seth Gutierrez, Edward Brako, Ryne Espinoza, Austin Arredondo, Joshua Arroyos, Hunter Lopez, Ryan Foster, and more. As the team carries on through district play, their toughest district opponents will quite possibly be La Vernia (4-2, 0-1) who lost 21-14 last week against Port Lavaca Calhoun and Port Lavaca Calhoun (3-3, 1-0).
Next up, the Trojans face Rockport-Fulton (1-5, 1-0) who has won only one game this season-- a 36-28 back-and-forth district-opening battle against Pleasanton last week. Fans can expect to see the Trojans fight hard on the road against the Pirates on Friday, October 13. Looking to secure another victory, the Trojans are geared up for success in district play. Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m.
