Stat Stuffers: Houston-area 6A Volleyball Stats Leaders
HOUSTON – With volleyball teams pushing into district play it was time to see who is posting the big numbers in the stat book.
Ally Batenhorst (Seven Lakes), Kailin Newsome (Clear Brook) and Dylan Maberry (The Woodlands) are leading the offensive output, while The Woodlands' Clara Brower is nearing 900 assists for the year already to lead that group and Kaydeun Wooley (La Porte) is leading the digs category as it stands.

HOUSTON – When anyone starts talking about the team down on Buffalo Run, you mention speed and lots of it.

370 – Fort Bend Marshall quarterback Malik Hornsby has passed for 370 yards and six touchdowns to start the year.
359 – Fort Bend Marshall is averaging these many yards per game. In District 11-5A-DII, the Buffs are the third-best offensive unit by yard average.
308 – Fort Bend Marshall running back Devon Achane has 308 yards on 36 carries this season for the Buffs. Achane also has 241 yards receiving and four touchdowns.
142 – The Buffs' defense has been pretty solid, the unit only giving up 142 yards per game this year, which ranks best in the district.
110 – The number of points the Buffs have scored this season.
34.63 – Fort Bend Marshall punter Christian Jackson has punted eight times this fall for 277 yards. The junior is averaging a district third-best 34.63 yards per punt.
