After a lot of smoke and fire this past week – actually more like thunder and lightning – there really wasn’t a whole lot of movement in this week’s Power Rankings. Buda Johnson swept both their opponents to remain on top of the poll. Bowie dropped their second 1-run game this year to surging Lake Travis but it’s hard to penalize Bowie too much, especially since Liberty Hill also dropped a game last week. And so it went throughout the standings with most teams mimicking their nearest rivals’ results.

It’s not until we reach the aforementioned Lake Travis that we see some real movement. The Lady Cavs’ clutch win over Bowie completed a sweep for the week and allowed Lake Travis to climb three spots and crack the Top 10. Round Rock and Bastrop also climbed a bit in the Rankings, but most of the pack stayed put.
