VYPE U: Porter Sends A Handful to The Regional Meet
As track teams competed in the District 20-5A Meet many athletes punched their tickets for the Area Meet. The Porter girl's team was able to clinch the District title, while the boys were able to secure fourth place overall. Porter also had many Individual finishers at the District Meet. All the athletes who finished in the top four were able to advance to the next round which took place last week. At the area meet the girls placed third overall and the boys placed seventh out of 16 teams. Just as District, the top four individual finishers advanced to the regional meet. The Region III-5A Meet will begin on Friday. We have quite the handful that have punched their tickets to attend. History continues being made with Eva Abshire and the young girl squad. The boys have Luke Cordle making history, as he was able to qualify for the regionals in all four of his events which has never been done before at Porter. Good Luck to all the athletes competing at the Region Meet!
